Proteus (now 2ergo) has been building mobile web sites for media brands for almost a decade, including the first working demo of a WAP site in the mid-1990s. I led the design and information architecture for mobile sites including FOX News, HBO, Disney, NBC Universal and Discovery.

In 2008, we decided to take this industry-leading knowledge of the mobile web and build an easy to use WAP product for our clients and consumers. I developed the idea, user experience and architecture that drove the implementation of the product. I worked with designers and developers to bring the product from an idea to a complete tool. The result is Swift, our full-featured mobile site builder.

Swift allows consumer and enterprise users to build rich sites using a self-service platform. Our proprietary device detection makes sure that the site appears in the best possible format for every mobile device.
